This is known as the growth cycle. In this stage, the hair is in an active state of growth and this stage lasts anywhere from 2 to 6 years.
This is the second stage of a follicle’s growth phase and is the transitional stage where the hair follicle pulls away from the dermal papilla and the hair stops growing. The follicle is no longer being supplied with the new cells that it needs to grow. This stage lasts for several days.
This is the last stage of follicle growth. This is considered the resting phase of hair growth. At this stage, the follicle remains inactive, and the follicle cycles back to the anagen stage.
